In response to this, I am starting a new series here on Mickey Visit that is a direct answer to this problem and I will cover different methods to make Disney affordable again! I visit Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the Universal theme parks multiple times of the year and I have sailed on every class of Disney Cruise ship. So suffice to say, I have the experience to speak to travel for all these different destinations and how to experience these destinations at a lower cost. My goal with this series is to share my budget knowledge with our readers so you can all experience Disney in a more affordable way and make these trips attainable for the average middle class family.
In this first article of the series, I am going to highlight a notable area of savings in the newly released 2025 Walt Disney World summer discounts.

The recently released Walt Disney World 2025 summer discount offers savings of up to 30% on rooms if you stay 5 consecutive nights or longer for stays from May 1 to September 30, 2025 and up to 25% for stays of 1 to 4 nights. Like with most Walt Disney World discount offers, the more expensive the hotel, the larger the savings.
However, one interesting thing stood out about this offer! Usually all the value hotels, the cheapest hotels on Walt Disney World property, are always the lowest possible percentage off for discounts. But this time, one specific hotel is actually listed alongside the moderate hotels in terms of savings. All Star Sports, which is actually THE cheapest hotel on property, is offering up to 25% off rather than the usual 15% that value resorts offer with these discounts.
This means you can get this cheap Walt Disney World hotel at either 20% or 25% off, depending on your length of stay. If you stay five days or longer, you will receive 25% off your hotel stay. For stays four days or less, you will receive 20% off your hotel stay.
The standard room rate for a room at All Star Sports is $188 which just means that is the common rate before any savings. Depending on the time of year, you can even get this hotel for under $100 per night which is an amazing savings for an official Walt Disney World hotel. For my travel dates during May 2025, this discount offer brought a standard room at All Star Sports down to $144 a night making it the cheapest room on property for my trip during a holiday week!
Making Disney affordable comes down to making certain decisions with your budget as a top priority. Since All Star Sports is the cheapest hotel out of the lineup on this discount offer, I will pick that hotel over the others since for this trip, budget is a must. But this is unusual as All Star Sports typically never is included in savings offers of up to 25% off which is a great strategy to be aware of.
But book quickly, Disney only allocates a certain number of rooms to these discount offers meaning those discount rooms might start selling out quickly as guests figure out this Walt Disney World mistake they made with this discount offer.
