Exploring the Thrilling World of Noir in Festival

Noir in Festival has delved deep into a program dedicated to mystery, thriller, and noir lovers, offering literary encounters, film screenings, and in-depth discussions. Yesterday, on Tuesday, December 3rd, at the Arlecchino cinema, two surprising premieres were showcased in competition: “Sons,” a psychological thriller directed by the Swedish filmmaker Gustav Möller, and the highly anticipated “Presence” by Steven Soderbergh.

Not only films but also a narrative by Adrian Wooton about the figure of William Somerset Maugham, a great author and secret agent during World War I, and a fusion of literature and cinema with Daniele Orazi, a well-known film agent in Italy with his debut literary work “Ostiawood” (Solferino Libri) at Galleria Rizzoli. Following this, Maurizio De Giovanni met the Noir audience to present “Volver” (Einaudi), the conclusive investigation of the series dedicated to Commissioner Ricciardi, which he also discussed at IULM with screenwriter Paolo Terracciano, narrating the evolutions of his famous character between novel and comic.
